The point is, when it comes to protecting innocent life, there is no room for obfuscation and no room for compromise. For those of us that believe abortion is the intentional killing of an innocent child, Hyde Amendment sophistry holds no book. As concerned as we are about the pathetic fiscal state of American government, we should be doubly-so about its moral bankruptcy.

According to The Susan B. Anthony List, almost all current GOP candidates for president support defunding PP. This is an issue that pro-lifers need to keep a significant part of the 2012 campaign. In more ways than one, the U.S. federal government cannot afford its relationship with Planned Parenthood.

Some rights require government action and thus funding. Defense is one of them. Our judiciary system is another. But many if not most rights require no government funding. Free speech, for example, is free. So it does not follow that, because we have a right, society must pay for its members to exercise it. By and large, abortions are an elective procedure.

A series of new undercover phone calls reveals that contrary to the claims of Planned Parenthood CEO Cecile Richards and other supporters of the nation’s largest abortion chain, the organization does not provide mammograms for women. According to one clinic they “are mostly a surgery center.”

The billboards will feature a graphic of President Barack Obama and state, “Every 21 minutes, our next possible leader is aborted.” The billboard will direct interested parties to ThatsAbortion.com, where African-American pro-life leader Alveda King is prominently featured.

The President has seriously nominated to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit Stephen Six, whose prints are all over the obstruction of justice in an investigation of an alleged systematic statutory rape cover-up at a Planned Parenthood clinic in Kansas.

Despite recent revelations of Planned Parenthood’s complicity in aiding child prostitution and rape and their millions in government funding of abortions, Harry Reid has decide he will risk a government shutdown rather than let GOP defund Planned Parenthood.

If you are reading this right now, and you are infuriated, Congress doesn’t believe you will do one earthly thing about it. They believe the 2010 elections were a fluke, that citizens across the country had a momentary temper tantrum and will stop paying attention to Washington’s bizarre ways.

CNSNews.com asked Reid if he would reject a long-term CR–and shut down the government–based solely on the fact that the CR prohibited funding of Planned Parenthood.
