EMU dismissed Ward from its graduate counseling program in March 2009 for not affirming homosexual behavior as morally acceptable. The report, “Beach Books: What Do Colleges Want Students to Read Outside Class?”, surveyed 290 colleges and categorized their summer reading lists in broad terms, such as “multiculturalism, immigration and racism” (the most common category chosen by colleges), or “environmentalism, animal rights and food” (the second largest liberal category selected by colleges). The study found that “the choices by and large reflect leftist political perspectives.”

The Massachusetts Governor signed a bill on Wednesday afternoon that saves the job of a retired Marine and public high school ROTC instructor who refused to pay teachers union fees.

Ryan: “We went from bailing out big companies to bailing out big governments. This is the latest example of taxpayers from frugal states bailing out profligate states.” Its an even better example of democrats paying off unions for contributions and campaign workers with tax payer dollars.

Defenders of the new social studies standards just passed by the Texas SBOE say it will encourage students to go back to the Constitution and First Amendment to learn about religious freedom.
