The Obama administration seems to want to have it both ways, raising the fears of an imminent, nuclear-armed Iran while saying a real threat isn’t on the horizon.

If our president prefers pleasant illusion over stark reality, we are all at risk, everywhere. And we all need to pay attention.

“The launch is scheduled for August. We’re on schedule,” Sergei Kiriyenko told reporters in Argentina during a visit. “Bushehr doesn’t threaten the regime of nonproliferation in any way. No one has any concerns about Bushehr.”

Smaller and aging creates a clearly less-credible deterrent. That, in turn, encourages bad actors to rely more heavily on nukes.

Republican Sen. Jon Kyl said the nuclear summit was a big disappointment. Obama strategy actually INCREASING risk of proliferation.

Despite fawning propaganda media, Obama’s Nuclear Summit “is quite bizarre”.

Sen. Joe Lieberman says the world is at a “turning point in history” and the U.S. should begin preparing plans to attack Iran’s nuclear program — and use that option if all diplomatic and other means fail.
