From a land use, economic, environmental or raw materials perspective, wind is unsustainable

Support for “green energy” and “green jobs” by the Obama administration is just one more way to further bankrupt the nation. If its attacks on traditional generating facilities continue, America will become a third-world nation with rolling blackouts and brownouts.

The endless absurdity oozing out of the climate change cesspool would be hilarious if it weren’t so costly.

It’s called the Cross-State Pollution Rule, announced last month, and its implementation over the next 18 months will likely result in the loss of a fifth of the nation’s electricity-generating capacity. The result will be likely power shortages, skyrocketing rates and inevitable brownouts and rolling blackouts.

Progressivism is bad if it is the only accepted philosophy from which to propose and evaluate concepts. Yet, in the environmental field, that is arguably the case.

“We need to show government that we don’t have confidence in people who stop an industry over night without any thought on how it is going to affect families who rely on the industry,” Ms Bakalian said.

Obama’s promotion of green jobs came with strings. Unionized workforce. Compliance with expensive environmental technology in the manufacturing process. Promotion of politically correct benefits (e.g., gay partners). Uncertain cost of electricity. The conflicting parts of the Obama Agenda doomed these companies as they competed against countries with competitive workforce costs, minimum permit processing and government regulation, easy credit, and cheap land, water and electricity.
