The death of a Catholic nun and the serious injury of two elderly nuns in Virginia is more than just a tragedy. It’s the inevitable outcome of the Obama administration’s immigration policy — offering selective amnesty for many illegal aliens while spending tax money on pampering those who break our laws with relative impunity.

“Independence Investigates” has obtained internal emails from the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment (CDLE) showing that a software control intended to prevent the payment of unemployment insurance to unqualified citizens as well as to illegal aliens was shut off in early 2009.

Apparently Immigration and customs Enforcement (ICE) employees believe the directors are more interested in pushing amnesty than in enforcing current immigration laws.

The debate could resonate in Texas, where not only 1.5 million illegal immigrants are estimated to reside but at least 60,000 babies are added to their households annually.

“I think what the state of Arizona did was well within their rights and I think Governor Brewer did a good job,” Isakson told CNSNews.com.

So are they just for show? 1200 token troops really won’t do much of anything to stop the flow of drugs, criminals, weapons, illegals and terrorists flowing in from Mexico. It is almost laughable when you consider that at the same time the Obama administration is suing Arizona to prevent enforcement of illegal immigration laws.
