Freedom and prosperity do not spring from government’s power to tax, borrow, and spend. Instead we must get Washington out of the way and allow private enterprise to thrive. The Republican Study Committee created this video to illustrate how Washington has strayed from the ideas that made our nation great. It should be a reminder of what is at stake this November.

Term-limited members who are willing to make the tough choices to cut spending, balance the federal budget is the only way we will be able to come together to defuse the coming debt bomb.

If there is a continuation of Obama or his policies (and there is no guarantee that Romney or some other horse is capable or willing to roll back the damage and not extend it), then anyone under 40 with any kind of ability should consider leaving.

For three-and-a-half years Americans have listened to President Obama blame the economy on George W. Bush and that excuse is not working anymore. In 2009, Obama said of his plans to turn around the economy, “If I don’t have this done in three years, then there’s going to be a one-term proposition.” It’s up to the voters to make that come true.

Another long time liberal Republican senator who helped Democrats move the country to bankruptcy, profligate spending and tyranny by agency went down to defeat nearly 2 to 1 in Indiana’s primary. Lugar was portrayed by his opponent as Obama’s favorite Republican because of his willingness to go along to get along. Good riddance.

North Dakota’s per-capita income jumped 78% in the past 12 years, largely due to its fossil fuel boom. Imagine the impact at the national level if Washington stopped blocking energy development. … North Dakota has the lowest unemployment rate in the country at 3.3%. The jobless rate in Williston, the core of the state’s oil patch, which is fed by the Bakken Formation, is impossibly low at less than 1%. – IBD
