Is there any other reason to ban teacher unions and eliminate Jimmy Carter’s union payoff the Department of Education?

If you want to change the future change the children. It seems like every tin-pot dictator and every megalomaniac destroyer of worlds knows this. The Progressives figured this out and they’ve been concentrating on it for generations.

Conservatives have talked wistfully for years about eliminating the Education Department, but a host of Republican “tea party” candidates this election year are saying it’s time to move beyond talk and force Congress to vote.

Next time they say we need more education money ask them what happened to the last $2 TRILLION dollars with no results.

New rule by DOEd to cause “all-out politicization of American higher education, endangering academic freedom, due process and First Amendment rights.”

He said the Education department would work to make American children into “good environmental citizens” through federally subsidized school programs beginning as early as kindergarten that teach children about climate change and prepare them “to contribute to the workforce through green jobs.”

It seems obvious that the principal function of the DOE has nothing to do with improving the quality of public education and everything to do with doing the bidding of the nation’s powerful teacher’s unions and supporting politicians such as Mr. Obama.

In the mid 1960s, education policy took a wrong turn, away from America’s founding principles. That was when President Lyndon B. Johnson, as a part of his War on Poverty, created the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 (ESEA). It was the first major federal foray into local schools.
