The media is still operating under the delusion that the Islamists will maintain democracy once they have profited from it, and that only shows their basic ignorance.

Just because those in the Middle East have the outward appearance of modernity, it is an illusion. This is a region of the world dominated by a warrior cult called Islam. As such it will remain an enemy of the West and of each other. It is a huge horror show.

The message to terror groups is, “Keep up the violence and the US will back you to get whatever you want.” The message to a democratic ally is, “Make dangerous concession for peace with US assurances and the US will forget the assurances and ask for more concessions.”
