Data from U.S. Customs and Border Protection contradicts testimony Napolitano gave the House Homeland Security Committee on Wednesday in which she said that the U.S. government had secured “effective control of the great majority” of the both the northern and southern borders.

Janet Napolitano signed this Arizona bill into law and now as Obama’s open borders advocate fights it in the courts. This bill punishes businesses for hiring illegals and is separate from the more famous Arizona 1070 bill allowing local law enforcement to enforce immigration laws.

Appearing On the Record with Greta Van Susteren, DHS Secretary Napolitano seems oblivious to the border problem. “We can’t seal the border” but we “can make sure that the border is secure”. Then why don’t they?

So much for homeland security. DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano says she doesn’t know what to do with and admitted lillegal alien that has stolen an identity, used a false social security number and lied to gain employment. I think that equals amnesty.

Mexican drug cartels, emboldened by the Mexican Army failure to control its border cities, and more recently emboldened by Obama’s talk of a new amnesty for illegals, have extended their reach into the U.S.

The government puts the brakes on a problem-plagued “virtual” fence on our border with Mexico. Whatever happened to the old-fashioned kind? If ever there was a shovel-ready project, this is it.
