Thomas Balanoff, head of the SEIU Illinois Council, testified under oath at the Blago trial that President Obama called him to lobby for Valerie Jarrett to be named by Governor Blagojevich to replace Obama in the Senate. This directly contradicts the President’s repeated denials of any direct or indirect contact with Blago to influence the naming of his Senate replacement.

Barack Obama is enlisting activists and labor leaders in a push for comprehensive immigration (amnesty) legislation that will showcase Republican opposition and include a speech by the president.

This year the Bureau of Labor Statistics confirmed that for the first time in the history of the United States, a majority of union members work for the government, not the private sector. To be exact, 52% of all union members work for the federal or state and local governments. That means more than half of the $10 million that unions wasted just in Arkansas first came from your tax dollars. And the waste goes well beyond Arkansas.

Socialists (Progressives) Andy Stern, former head of SEIU, Phaedra Ellis-Lamkins, CEO of the “social justice” environmental activist group Green for All, Eli Pariser of Moveon.org and Hilary Shelton, director of the NAACP Washington Bureau urged socialism at this year’s “America’s Future Now” conference whose speakers include House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Rep. Alan Grayson (D-Fla.)

The American left has begun to crack — deterioration has set in, and it is beginning the long slide into goonhood.

Two unions, the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees (AFCSME) and the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) plan to spend $100 MILLION to save incumbent Dems. The same week a Democrat introduced a $165 BILLION bill to bail out union pensions. Not a bad return.

Aggressive, personalized protests have been a fact of life in the world of unions and community organizers influenced by the radical philosophy of Saul Alinsky. But they’re now growing in frequency as SEIU officials top the White House visitors’ list and union influence grows.

President Barack Obama and his administration, is shamefully deeply connected to the people and organizations that recently organized street mob protests, terrifying a teenage child in his own home, and storming bank buildings (violating how many Federal laws?) in a show of uncivil disobedience (intimidation).

Obama’s private terrorist group, SEIU, was escorted by police to a bankers home to threaten him and his family.
