Obama’s fiscal year 2013 budget request reveals that “that the president has utterly failed to make good on his promises” on nuclear modernization and missile defense.

“Reagan said it was inherently more moral to prevent an attack than to retaliate for one. After all, we’ve already got swords. Why not have shields too?”

Two recent episodes offer an insight into a world in which the United States deliberately adopts a policy of pursuing international peace despite weakness, rather than practice what Ronald Reagan called “peace through strength.”

… the language of the treaty — combined with Obama’s softness on the Russians, the Russians’ toughness toward Obama, Obama’s previous pro-Russia moves at the expense of Poles and Czechs, and Obama’s traditionally tepid support of missile defense — is not reassuring.

This treaty is a monument to President Obama’s naive dream of a “world without nuclear weapons.” Our security will rest on ambiguous language and vague assurances, not on the genius of U.S. technology.
