While we expect the likes of Al Sharpton to crawl out from under their rock and ramp up the hateful rhetoric whenever a race-baiting opportunity arises, we do not expect the attorney general to publicly praise Sharpton “for your partnership, your friendship, and your tireless efforts to speak out for the voiceless, to stand up for the powerless, and to shine a light on the problems we must solve, and the promises we must fulfill.” – American Thinker

Hilary Rosen is just echoing feminist rhetoric that, in reality, is disconnected to what is representative of American women.

The only way to understand the pronouncements and actions of this administration is if we consider ourselves a conquered people and the Washington-centered oligarchy as an occupying power. We, the silent majority who labor, innovate, and produce are treated as subservient beasts of burden needed and appreciated more for what can be extorted from us than for who we are.

Rep. West clearly understands the media war as well and said about the controversy over his comments: “The press wants to write gotcha stories and talk semantics, but just look at the words and actions of the [Congressional] Progressive Caucus. You can call them socialist, Marxist, communist or whatever you want, but the point is, they oppose free markets and individual economic freedom, they want to redistribute wealth, and they want to see the nation fundamentally transformed. Their policies are destructive and I will stand up to them regardless of the critics. Members of this Caucus lavished praise on Fidel Castro following a 2009 visit, just to name one example. The Communist Party USA claims the Progressive Caucus as its ‘ally.’”

Governmental monopoly and subsidization have produced a sheltered, pampered industry devoid of competitive pressures and innovation. Teachers unions now dominate rather than parents or students. As a result, complacency and regression reign and costs soar ever higher.

“It’s clear that it’s added over a trillion dollars to federal spending over the next ten years and hundreds of billions of dollars to the federal deficit.” Charles Blahous of the Mercatus Center explains that the Affordable Care Act will expand the federal deficit to Neil Cavuto.

The real Barack Obama is a steely-eyed autocrat, dedicated to expanding his power at the expense of our liberty, still a bit of a Marxist, alternately hostile to or agnostic about capitalism, and intent on transforming America into a government-controlled society composed of obedient automatons. – IBD

It’s not just that Obama is a bully, however. It’s that Big Government and socialist policies are, by their very nature, bullying policies. They require compulsion. They are mandates, not protections.

A troubling pattern of putting U.S. and allied security interests second to the Obama administration’s political priorities is now well-established. If allowed to continue, it will not only make the world more dangerous. It is going to get people killed – probably in large numbers and some of them may be Americans.

At some point Obama will be gone. But the restrictions that prevented such behavior have been seriously weakened. How long is it before someone worse than Obama ascends to power and finishes the job, transforming the US into a totalitarian state?
