Everyone agrees the cradle-to-grave nanny-state programs of the Progressive corporate state don’t work. What we disagree on is the motive for their imposition and the remedy for their failure.

Progressives have slowly, but surely, infiltrated America’s political process, court system, and media outlets, to such an extent that they are now the de facto “establishment.” Hence the conservative movement (which represents the vast majority of Americans) has largely been forced “underground,” and finds itself fighting for its survival against a federal government that no longer represents them (or cares to).

Rep. Keith Ellison who complained about hearings concerned with radicalizing Muslims seems to be against American sovereignty but after all he is a progressive. “Ellison wrote several articles in support of Louis Farrakhan of the Nation of Islam” according to Wikipedia.

But adopting a political label should be an act of civic candor. When people label themselves conservatives or liberals we can reasonably surmise where they stand concerning important matters, such as Hudson’s ruling. The label “conservative” conveys much useful information about people who adopt it. So does the label “liberal,” which is why most liberals have abandoned it, preferring “progressive,” until they discredit it, too. ~ George Will

The left embraces “social justice,” a concept in which the State — not the individual, guided by the Constitution or any god — is the ultimate authority to determine the best interest of its wards.

President Barak Obama faced the nation as a born again Bush Booster as he reversed years of personal commitment and regurgitated rhetoric presenting the extension of the Bush tax cuts as his plan for recovery.

The wise Abraham Lincoln understood the menace of the Enemy Within. Lincoln stated, “America will never be destroyed from outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves.”

First, there was the deception and manipulation by the communist left, which, by its nature, refused to openly acknowledge that it was communist and serving the Communist Party line. Second, there was dangerous self-delusion and gullibility among some leading Democrats.

Of course, I was just one of the progressive pack, parroting the party line. Being a Leftist means honing in on every possible injustice. Never-ending gripes and grievances are the glue that keeps progressives cemented together.
