In one of the most blatant examples of the union / Democratic money laundering, Speaker Pelosi has interrupted congress’ campaigning time at home by calling Congress back into session to pass a bill that primarily provides money to keep public employees working.

Funding leftist groups, getting the Union of South American Nations to condemn Arizona and investing in amnesty for illegals shows Chavez’s Venezuelan model is being pushed here.

Democrats on Capitol Hill are literally taking food out of the mouths of the most needy to pay back their political cronies. For public employee unions, this is payback for their extensive support of Democratic politicians.

Civil service rules make it prohibitively difficult to fire federal employees for bad performance once they pass their probationary period—one year on the job. Most federal employees who perform poorly never get fired. Federal employee hourly cash earnings are 22 percent above the average private worker’s.

The Democrats get millions from unions. Rove is absolutely right. These Dems are paying off union help for fall campaigns. Unions have already promised over $100 million to protect Democrat incumbents. The education industry is one of the largest funders of politicians at all levels.

A little over a year ago, I wrote a column suggesting that due to the blatant hostility the National Education Association was expressing towards Christians, it was time for Christian teachers to withdraw their membership from the NEA. As it turns out, the focus of my call to abandon this radically left lobby group was a bit too narrow. Obama’s 2008 campaign received almost $23 MILLION from the education industry. Nancy Pelosi is 13th all time recipient of public sector union contributions. 99% of public sector union money goes to Democrats. Unions have pledged to spend over $100 MILLION to protect incumbent Dems this fall. Is there any question why this multi-billion dollar union bailout bill is so important to Obama and the Dems?

Is this why Pelosi is rushing the House back into special session for $26 billion teacher bailout? With the district in a financial crisis and hundreds of its members facing layoffs, the Milwaukee teachers union is taking a peculiar stand: fighting to get its taxpayer-funded Viagra back.

The NEA teachers union is one of the worst offenders when it comes to promoting the ‘progressive’ agenda. It Advocates leftist positions on a host of issues, including abortion, sex education, teen pregnancy, school prayer, socialized medicine, affordable housing, drug testing, prisoner rights, bilingual education, global warming, and health care. And now they are pushing a radical leftist guide to revolution on their web site.
